Jim continues to live in Seattle, marking his third year with Bike Works Seattle. There he manages the adult bike maintenance class program, mobile bike repair station, and volunteer program.
He spent much of his spare time in the outdoors, including:
- Riding 185 miles from Seattle to Olympic National Park’s Hurricane Ridge and back
- Hiking the Enchantments Wilderness near Leavenworth
- Gaining over 14,000 feet of climbing during a bike ride in Mount Rainier National Park
- Road tripping to Glacier National Park with his girlfriend of two years, Hannah
He is also deeply involved with North Star Cycling Club and Asian Bike Club. Both are reflective of his commitment to self-empowerment and racial equity through bicycling.
Next year he plans to compete in ultra-endurance bikepacking events and to continue building capacity at work.
